CSS in Pakistan
Some institutions in our country are well known as the sacred cow, including the top bureaucracy, where the charm of coming and going has persisted for years. And that doesn't stop there. On the contrary, in the last few years, as it has become more and more difficult for young people to find employment, the number of people turning to civil service (bureaucracy) institutions is increasing.
One of the main reasons for this is the charm that bureaucratic institutions have. And only those who have tasted the water of these institutions can know. However, the existence of civil heads even before the formation of Pakistan was known as Indian Civil Heads. In a way, at that time these institutions were under the grace of the British and the moisture was admitted here who kept the British bureaucracy and remained loyal to the British. Today, the British have ceased to exist, but the bureaucracy is still a feature of the civil service.
In Pakistan, the Indian Civil Service was later renamed the Central Superior Service, or CSS in common parlance. This is called the civil service of the country. It was formally launched in Pakistan in 1973 under Article 240 of the Constitution.
Its biggest advantage is that it is one of the most powerful institutions in the country and comes under the federal government. Individuals transcribed in civil heads are called Grade 17 officers but in their own right it is called a high level examination, as it takes at least a year to prepare them, the civil service begins with written examinations. Then comes Psychology test and then interview. It is tested once a year in February-March.
The minimum age for this exam is 21 years and the maximum is 28 years. The federal government estimates that between 9,000 and 10,000 candidates enter the civil service each year. In which about 7000 candidates can appear for the written test and out of them about 500-250 candidates pass the written test. Out of which about 150 candidates are then.
