The land of Iraq is considered to be the first center of human civilization as traces of the earliest human habitation have been found here. Û” In the seventh century AD, the Muslims conquered here and the word of Islam prevailed. Here Ali, the great Muslim caliph, established the government of Islam and made Kufa his capital. After Ali's reign, the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties ruled Iraq, while in 1258 Hulagu Khan and other Mongols ruled the region. Then the Ottoman Empire ruled Iraq until World War I. After World War I, Britain occupied Iraq and France and Britain ruled for 26 years.
The British rule came to an end in 1932, and Iraq emerged as an independent state under King Faisal. Faisal passed away. After which his son Ghazi ascended the throne. Qazi ruled Iraq for five years and introduced extraordinary international connections. In 1939, Qari also died. Since then, Iraq has been under constant scrutiny from the British rulers, but in 1954, the United States intervened and brought Iraq back into the mainstream of international relations through treaties. In 1956, for example, there was an agreement between Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and the United States, which was called the Baghdad Agreement, which became a front against Egypt and Syria, so it was criticized by the international community. In 1963, a Ba'ath party seized power. And its president was Abdul Salam Arif. After Arif's death, a new president was appointed, which strengthened relations with the Soviet Union.
