Abu Ahmed Abdal Chishti
(260/874 - 355/966)
Abu Ahmed Abdal Chishti was a disciple and caliph of the Sufi saint Khawaja Abu Ishaq
Shami. His father's name was Sultan Farsnam. He was born on June 25, 874
AH. At the age of seven, the tendency towards Sufism became
apparent. At the age of thirteen, Salasal entered Sufism and at the age
of twenty-one, he acquired the Darwish sect. From that time until his
death, he continued to grow and guide. His son's name was Abu Mohammad,
who became his disciple and caliph and became Sajjada Nasheen after the death
of his father first Jamadi Al-Thani 355 AH 25 May 966.
The
shrine of Hazrat Abdal Chishti Abu ahmed is in Chishti. Abdal Chishti was a
perfect elder and a man of miracles. "Anwar Isfiya" says
that he went on the river of dajla with some companions and there was no
boat. He sat in the circle of disciples and engaged in dhikr-e-fiqr while
they were all on the other side. This miracle was also witnessed by some
non-Muslims who later converted to Islam. Your conversation was also
eloquent and eloquent. Large to fenugreek in the tongue. He was a
memorizer of the Holy Quran. He used to recite the Holy Qur'an three
times a day and night. Therefore, that is why this world of worship and piety,
which was always in ablution was not planted with the earth for the whole
thirty years.
Abdali:
Abdali
is a nation of Pathans, known as Jawab Durrani. Ahmad Shah Abdali was the first
king of this nation. The Afghans belonged to the branch of Sirbani.
Tradition has it that the Afghans are descendants of Talut bin Daud. One
of Talut's descendants, Qais bin Abdul Rashid, had converted to Islam. Abdali
is one of his descendants. According to the traditions, his prophecy is
towards Abdal bin Tarin bin Sharjun bin Qais.
Abdali
was called because he was in the service of Ahmad Abdali Chishti, a saint of
this line of Chishtia. Abdali lived in the Kandahar area. After
that it was the time of Shah Abbas I who moved to Herat. He made them the
chiefs of Afghanistan. In this sense, they became famous. Nadir
Shah Irani mistakenly considered Durrani to have subdued the Abdalians.
However, he treated them with leniency. Ahmed Khan was also among
them. In view of his services, Nadir Khan gave the area of ​​Kandahar to
the Abdalians. After the birth of Nadir Khan in 1737, Ahmad Khan ascended
the throne in Kandahar in the name of Ahmad Shah Abdali. He was given the
title of "Dar Durran" by a poor Sabir Shah, which was later
abbreviated to Durrani.
Abdali
Ahmed Shah (Death1772AH):
Founder
of the "Durrani Empire" in Afghanistan, the first king of the Abdalians, the last
ruler of India. We do not know about the exact place of his birth. There
is an inscription in langa Khan garden in Multan which shows that Ahmad
Shah Abdali was born in Multan but history does not testify to it. Ahmad
Khan was an officer in the army of King Nadir Shah of Iran. When Nadir
Shah invaded India in 1739, he was with him. When Nadir Shah was
assassinated in June 1747, the Majlis-e-Shura of the Afghan tribes succeeded
Ahmad Khan, and in October 1747, the empire fell to the Abdalians. After
Ahmad Khan ascended the throne, he assumed the title of Ahmad Shah. Faqir
Darwish Syed Sabir Shah addressed him DurDuran in the meantime. Due to
which his qiblah became known as Durrani.
India and Ahmed Shah Abdali:
Ahmad Shah Abdali invaded India seven times. In 1748, Lahore and Sir Hind were captured during the reign of Muhammad Shah Rangeela. The second attack took place in 1749. In 1750, the ownership of this area started receiving Rs. 14 lakhs annually. When the money was not received due to the chaos in the Punjab, in December 1751, Ahmad Shah launched a third attack and captured Lahore as well as Multan. This time Moin-ul-Mulk appointed the former Governor of Lahore and after the death of Moin in 1756, launched a fourth attack to help Moghlani Begum. This time Ahmad Shah reached Delhi and conquered it. In April 1757, Ahmad Shah appointed his son Timur Shah as ruler and returned to Afghanistan.
In
1758, the Marhats expelled the Afghans from the Punjab. Therefore, in
October 1759, Ahmad Shah acted for the fifth time and occupied the entire
Punjab and annexed it to the Afghan Empire. In January 1761, a battle was
fought in the field of Panipat in which the Marhats were defeated and their
power was lost forever. This time Ahmad Shah announced that all the
rulers of India should recognize Shah Alam II. In March 1764, Abdali
attacked for the sixth time to suppress the Sikhs, but he has to go to Lahore
because the situation in his own country was deteriorating. In 1767, at
the invitation of the Muslims of India, Ahmad Shah Abdali last attacked and
tried to defeat the Sikhs, but conspiracies in his own empire forced him to
retreat. After which Punjab was occupied by Sikhs. Ahmad Shah
Abdali passed away in 1773.
